Soyer: İzmir will show itself brightly to the world again

 İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer participated in the launch of Fashion Prime and Fashion Tech fairs. Stating that the fairs to be held on September 15-17 will add strength to the sector, Mayor Tunç Soyer said, “In the period called the new normal, İzmir will wake up from its 1.5-year-long hibernation and will show itself brightly to the world again. That's exactly what we're excited about."

Continuing to work in line with the vision of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer to make İzmir a city of fairs, the Metropolitan Municipality is starting to organize its fairs as of the easing of the pandemic conditions. The promotional meeting of the Fashion Prime - 4th Textile, Ready-to-Wear Suppliers and Technologies Fair, which is the first fair where all the needs of the textile industry are exhibited simultaneously in Turkey, and of the Fashion Tech Fair, which will be organized for the first time by İZFAŞ and İZGİ Fuarcılık, is held at Nefes Restaurant in İzmir Marina. İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer, Aegean Region Chamber of Industry Chairman Ender Yorgancılar, İZFAŞ General Manager Canan Karaosmanoğlu Alıcı, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Mustafa Özuslu, Aegean Clothing Manufacturers Association Chairman Hayati Ertuğrul, Aegean Ready-to-Wear and Apparel Exporters' Association Chairman Burak Sertbaş, the heads of associations related to the sector, representatives and professionals attended to the meeting. The Garment Sub-Industrialists Association Chairman Murat Özpehlivan took part in the opening with a video due to his illness.

Soyer: İzmir will wake up from its hibernation

İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer, who started his speech by thanking the supporting chambers and associations, said, “We are excited to hold a face-to-face fair in the new period, which we call the new normalization after the pandemic that held humanity and the whole world captive for 1.5 years, and where nothing will be the same as before. It is a really exciting and promising start. Nothing will ever be the same, we know that. In the so-called new normal period, İzmir will wake up from its hibernation of 1.5 years, and it will show itself brightly to the world again. This is exactly what we are excited about. We are working for İzmir, where welfare is increased and shared fairly by working and producing together. We believe that these fairs also make a very important contribution to this goal and the national economy together with our city.”

Yorgancılar: It is of great importance for the long-awaited vitality

Aegean Region Chamber of Industry Chairman Ender Yorgancılar said, “It is an economic value to have the fairs in a natural and physical environment again. It is of great importance in terms of the vitality that is long-awaited in our city.” Aegean Clothing Manufacturers Association Chairman Hayati Ertuğrul stated that the industry will revive with the double fair. Aegean Ready-to-Wear and Apparel Exporters' Association Chairman Burak Sertbaş expressed that they are looking forward to September.

Double fairs on September 15-17

Fashion Prime – Textile, Ready-to-Wear Suppliers and Technologies Fair, organized by İZFAŞ and hosted by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, bringing together all components of the sector is growing stronger in its fourth year. Contributing to the fair organization sector with its innovations, İZFAŞ joins its forces with the EGE TMF Fair, organized by İZGİ Fuarcılık in Denizli, which brings together the biggest textile machinery and technology manufacturers of the Eurasian Region. The Fashion Tech Fair, which will be held simultaneously with the 4th Fashion Prime, will bring together the machinery and technology manufacturers of the sector at Fuarİzmir on September 15-17. In addition to the machinery and technologies used in ready-made clothing and apparel production, textile machinery and textile printing technologies will be exhibited at the fair.
